The Gascoyne is a tranquil enclave with a population of approximately 9,277, predominantly non-Aboriginal Australians. Its moderate arid tropical climate ensures warm temperatures year-round, making it a prime destination for dark sky tourism and Astrotourism.

The subtropical coastal town of Carnarvon sits on the edge of the mighty Gascoyne River delta, home to pristine waters, hinterland, and a region abundant with local produce. Time spent in Carnarvon means meeting people from all walks of life and experiencing all that the mid-west of WA has to offer - fishing, 4WDing, rich culture, diverse food, swimming and more.

Ningaloo Reef, a crown jewel of the Gascoyne, showcasing vibrant marine life and untouched beauty. Its accessibility from the shoreline provides unparalleled opportunities for snorkelling and diving enthusiasts to immerse themselves in its splendour. From mid-March to mid-May, visitors can swim with whale sharks, while the annual mass coral spawning offers a mesmerizing spectacle.

Coupled with the Carnarvon CBD's Growers Market's commitment to showcasing Gascoyne produce and the rugged beauty of landmarks like Charles Knife Canyon, the Gascoyne region invites travellers to explore its hidden treasures and create lasting memories amidst its awe-inspiring landscapes.
