About the Opportunity
Bethsalem Care is seeking a dedicated team member for a Full-time role in their Memory Support Unit. The position is salaried in line with the appropriate Aged Care Award structure for a Diversional Therapist, according to levels of experience and hours worked. The salary band for a full-time day shift employee is - $60,764 to $61,948
Reporting to the Lifestyle Coordinator, you will:
Plan, implement and evaluate group and individual activity programs that promote the psychological, social and spiritual well-being of the residents, taking into account their assessed needs
Assist with the design of plans and programs to take into account residents with specific needs, e.g. residents living with Dementia
Assist in providing residents with the opportunity to learn new skills
Assist in involving residents in programs to achieve required outcomes
About You
You are an experienced aged care professional with a Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle, or you have equivalent experience and are working towards achieving the Cert IV.
You bring:
Certificate IV Leisure & Lifestyle qualification (or be working towards)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work both in a team and independently
Sound interpersonal skills
Commitment to work in a multi-disciplinary team
NDIS clearance
Previous experience in an Aged Care environment and/or Dementia Care will be an advantage.
