The role:
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified Diversional Therapy Assistants for our Adult Day Centre based in Wynyard
The successful candidate will provide support for and assist the Adult Day Centre Coordinator/Diversional Therapist by undertaking a range of duties involved with planning and implementing individual client care, activities and group programs.
The team:
Our Adult Day Centres provide day centre services for aged, younger disabled and their carers and people from special needs groups.
We provide respite day services to the local area, meals, transport to and from the Centre and various outings.
Details of Appointment
Fixed Term, casual, day worker positions working as and when required, commencing January 2024 - January 2025
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $65,236 - 68,925 pro rata, per annum + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Eligibility:
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable, but not essential:
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Medium Rigid (MR) class Licence and Ancillary Certificate (for driving Public Passenger vehicles)
- Current Driver’s Licence
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
- Conviction checks in the following areas:
- Crimes of violence
- sex related offences
- serious drug offences
- crimes involving dishonesty
