Job DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to provide therapy assistance and administrative support to allied health professionals within Therapy Services. The role will be primarily working with adults.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Delivering interventions under the direction and supervision of allied health professional staff within clients homes, at VisAbility and in the community.
- Deliver group programs under supervision of allied health professional staff.
- Deliver group and individual exercise programs in the community and/or onsite gym
- Preparation and clean-up for activities.
- Produce resources including the use of specific software, printing, laminating, researching available options, cleaning, and repairing resources.
- Follow documented processes when carrying out work and actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of business processes through providing feedback and information as changes occur.
- Maintain accuracy of all client records within VisAbility’s Client Management System.
Skills and attributes required
Essential:
- Previous experience in the disability sector or not for profit environment.
- Highly developed ability to work within a small team environment, including flexibility and adaptability.
- Attention to detail and strong ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to take direction.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
- Flexibility, resourcefulness and effective time and stress management.
- Experience in Microsoft Office.
- National Police Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
