We are a not-for-profit Centre of Excellence in skin health that delivers highly specialised clinical treatment, education and research for skin diseases, skin cancers and melanoma.
We are open Monday to Friday and operate 24 sub-specialty clinics, a day hospital, clinical trials and research, and provide world-class education to local, national and international audiences. We have a multi-disciplinary team of medical, nursing, research and allied health staff working together to deliver the highest quality support and care to our patients.
The Role
We have a part-time opportunity for graduate or early career Div 1 Registered Nurse seeking to pursue a nursing career in dermatology.
Key duties include:
- Support the delivery of patient care within a day hospital and clinic setting
- Ensure patients receive appropriate, competent and quality clinical care
- Work effectively with all members of staff to meet patient needs
- Maintain confidentiality of both written and electronic patient information and commitment to ethical standards
- Ensure compliance with health, privacy and safety regulations and SHI policies
- Participate in initiatives and contribute towards improvements and/or efficiencies to enable ongoing quality improvement of service
- Ensure the delivery of continuous and consistent excellence in customer service.
About You
- Bachelor of Nursing and current APHRA Registration.
- Experience as a Division 1, Registered Nurse in an acute setting
- Experience and/or interest in Dermatology/Surgical/Day procedure.
- A high level of computer skills
- Proven record of integrity and commitment to high level, quality health care
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Be able to work independently whilst having a demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
- Current Police Check, Proof of COVID, flu vaccination
