We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Gym Instructor to join the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre, to assist with the delivery of our fitness programs to clients.
In this role, you will deliver Gym Sessions, with a focus on member engagement, consistency of service delivery, and continuous improvement as well as supporting the day-day operation of the gym.
You will have a positive and energetic attitude, will deliver a high level of customer service, and will play a role in communicating and promoting centre programs and overall fitness facilities.
Role accountabilities include:
- Monitor and record gymnasium and group fitness usage through the relevant applications.
- Deliver high quality customer support as the first point of contact and respond to member's health and fitness related enquiries.
- Support and grow the delivery of high-quality programs in the Programs and Participation area.
We are looking for casual people to join our team who fulfill the below criteria:

Relevant Industry Qualifications are essential for this role. Qualifications required include:
- Certificate III in Fitness or equivalent AQF qualification in a relevant area of practice
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP)
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Driver Licence
Whilst experience is preferred, we welcome applications who have the passion for working as a Gym Instructor.
We would ideally love it if you were available for up to 7 days to cover our existing group fitness classes and gym floor shifts, however also understand that sometimes life just happens. Our ideal candidate will be flexible, and we would also work with you for when you need your days off.
