We invite motivated and suitably qualified applicants to apply for an accredited Radiology Registrar position with the Tasmanian Training Network (TTN) of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists
The TTN currently comprises public hospital and private practices in Hobart and Launceston, as well as interstate rotations to Perth Children's Hospital.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to complete the required 5 years of training to achieve RANZCR Fellowship in Tasmania and will be primarily based at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Term rotations to other locations in the TTN will occur after the first year of training to gain appropriate experience in subspecialty areas and regional medicine, up to a total of 1 year.

Qualified applicants must be Citizens or permanent residents, hold full unconditional AHPRA registration and be at least PGY3 level at the time of commencement. Applicants must also be pre-registered by the RANZCR and have a valid CRVN which is required to complete the application process.
The radiology training position provides access to a wide range of modalities.
Period of Employment
Fixed term, full time day work, working 76 hours per fortnight plus 10 hours protected training time, commencing 3 February 2025 – 2 February 2026.
Applicants should note that, for a period of a twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Essential Requirements
- General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
a) Crimes of Violence
b) Sex Related Offences
c) Serious Drug Offences
d) Crimes involving dishonesty
2. Identification check
3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
