West Gippsland Vet Care is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Grooming Assistant to join our team in Warragul. As a valued member of our Support Staff department, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent grooming services to our clients' beloved pets. Key responsibilities and main tasks include:
- Assisting the professional groomer in all aspects of pet grooming procedures
- Handling and caring for pets with compassion and attention to their individual needs
- Bathing, drying, brushing, and pets and assisting groomer as required
- Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the grooming area and equipment
- Providing support in maintaining accurate records of grooming appointments and client information
- Adhering to health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of pets and colleagues at all times
- Assisting with other duties as required within the scope of the Grooming Assistant role
The ideal candidate for this Casual position will have a genuine love for animals, excellent communication skills, patience, and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in pet care or grooming would be advantageous but is not essential.
