Domestic Assistants

Operating out of the Sunrise Village in Tuncurry, Sunrise Home Care offer services to consumers in their own homes inside and outside of the Village. We’re a fun-loving team who love to support the health and wellbeing of senior Australians in their own homes. At Sunrise Home Care we are dedicated to providing a culture that prioritises the wellbeing and happiness of our team members ensuring that our consumers receive the highest level of care possible at all times. Due to business growth, we are looking to increase our team of Domestic Assistants. 

A typical day will include thorough cleaning of all communal areas within the facility, including the dining room, residents lounge, and communal toilets. You will be responsible for sorting, washing, and managing laundry duties, as well as performing various cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.

Domestic services are provided to consumers in their own homes, both within the Sunrise Village and in the wider community. Regular checks of store cupboards are conducted to ensure adequate stock levels, with prompt reporting to management for replenishment as needed. Any damages or concerns related to work, health, and safety are promptly reported to management to maintain a safe environment for both staff and consumers.

• Demonstrated experience in the Aged Care Sector or similar 
• A strong commitment to working with older people or those with a disability is essential
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently 
• Current Drivers' Licence and access to motor vehicle with full Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance
• Current satisfactory Police Check (less than 3 years old) or willing to provide required documents for Sunrise Home Care to arrange
• First Aid/CPR Certificate is desirable.
