Job description

About the role

  • 4 or 5 days per week
  • Hybrid model – WFH and from the office – negotiable how many days you come into the office!
  • Salary commensurate with experience – tell us what you are looking for!
  • Great Culture!

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy and Fundraising, the primary purpose of this position is to implement and develop Bayley House’s direct response fundraising programs, including annual appeals (currently Tax Appeal and Christmas Appeal), general and online donations, and regular donors.

The successful candidate will work closely with the highly impressive Director of Philanthropy and Fundraising to achieve growth in revenue and attract new donors to these initiatives for Bayley House.

It is anticipated that this permanent position only requires a part-time (0.8) engagement; however, for the right applicant, the organisation would be open to accommodating a full-time position if desired.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Annual fundraising appeals
  • General and online donations
  • Regular donors

The successful candidate will benefit from:

  • Hybrid model – WFH and from the office – negotiable how many days you come in to the office
  • Work for a brilliant boss and organisation – you will love being part of Bayley House
  • This may be a step up for you as you may be a Donor Relations Coordinator and ready to manage the function, or you may be working in a Marketing/Communications role and want to work for an organisation that has purpose. Alternatively, you may be working in Donor Relations for a School or the like and want to move into the Disability sector
  • There are none of those awkward cold calls to make – this is ‘one to many fundraising’ so it is more about using your talents, creativity and experience to ‘talk’ to donors through media and communications
  • Feel like you are truly making a difference – see that your work changes the lives of the clients of Bayley House
  • Salary commensurate with experience – tell us what you are looking for
  • Access to NFP sector salary packaging
  • Free onsite public parking (subject to Council restrictions)
  • Employee assistance program and manager support line
  • Part time (4 days) permanent position (full-time will be considered) – have a work life balance

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in communication, marketing, fundraising or related discipline preferred
  • At least 3 years relevant work experience in a related area
  • Demonstrated experience with fundraising or a related discipline is desirable
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is desirable
  • High level of communications skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising through mail, email and digital channels is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in the coordination and writing of appeals, newsletters, brochures and donor reports is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of annual giving programs, including acquisition, retention and operations, as well as applying creative approaches is desirable
  • An understanding of marketing and communications principles is desirable
  • Experience and/or an understanding of the not-for-profit and philanthropy sector is desirable
  • Strong alignment with Bayley House values
  • Clean current National Police Check or ability to obtain
  • Current DWES Check or ability to obtain
  • All visa requirements for working in Australia

This position would suit someone with experience as a Donor Relations Coordinator who is looking to ‘step up’ into a Manager position, or someone with Marketing experience who is looking to move into Fundraising, or someone working in Donor Relations who is looking to move into the Disability sector.
