Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead & Manage the DraftingTeam: Oversee the drafting and design team, ensuring efficient resource management and high performance.
- Team Interaction: Engage daily with team members to monitor and support their progress, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Workflow Management: Manage the drafting workflow to ensure timely delivery of all documentation.
- Construction Drawings: Prepare accurate and timely construction drawings and documentation.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and advice on specific project details to the drafting and design team.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure the team’s work maintains consistency, quality, and compliance, driving operational outcomes.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure each project complies with Developer Guidelines, Planning Restrictions, Zones/Overlays and Schedules, Rescode, and Building regulations.
- Team Development: Develop and train team members, recommending and implementing improvements to productivity and output.
- QA Reviews: Conduct QA reviews on each project to ensure the accuracy of full project documentation.
- Pre-Contract Meetings: Attend pre-contract meetings as required, advising on timelines and technical details.
- Resource Management: Manage and oversee all drafting resources, including external consultants.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Diploma of Building Design & Drafting (or equivalent).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge and application of Rescode, BCA, and Planning Regulations and Process.
- Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership position is required.
- Industry Experience: Ideally 5+ years of residential ArchiCad Drafting and Design experience.
- Regulatory Familiarity: Familiar with Building and Planning Regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Customer Service: Focus on delivering quality service to our customers.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
- Industry Experience: Experience in residential and commercial building design, including NDIS (SDA) spec housing, is a must.
