The Role
We are seeking a skilled Draftsperson with proficiency in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of engineering principles. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in the crane industry, demonstrating the ability to develop detailed lift studies and transport drawings.
This role requires a commitment to safety, excellence in performance, and a drive for continuous improvement within our engineering team at Freo Group.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for but not be limited to:
- Support providing lift studies, transport drawings, method statements and crane comparisons.
- Create spreadsheets supporting calculations required for lift studies and transport drawings.
- Create dynamic 3D blocks for newly purchased cranes and rigging equipment.
- Respond to technical queries during incident investigations.
- Create modified designs of available equipment.
- Provide crane comparisons, make recommendations for capital expenditure.
You will have:
- High-Risk Work License including Dogging or Rigging tickets.
- Experience working with AutoCad or 3D software alike.
- A certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or similar.
- Understanding of engineering drawing and engineering principles.
- Experience working in the crane and rigging industry or in similar mining or heavy civil/mechanical projects.
- Experience in designing critical lift studies/plans using Kranxpert and Auto CAD/Solidworks software.
