Draftsman / Setout - Construction Drawings for Joinery Manufacturing Company

We are seeking a qualified, highly skilled Draftsman/Setout CAD drawer, with experience in the Joinery/Cabinet making field to undertake a key position within our company. Our ideal candidate will have experience in both installation and production in high end residential joinery and/or shopfitting (experience in the marine industry will be a bonus), and a passion for design.  Experience in Microvellum (AutoCAD-based software for design/drafting/estimating) would be a bonus. 

About the Role

Your role will be integral in supporting the Joinery Production Management Team.  A typical day at Workshop 28 will include drafting and shop drawings, dealing with local manufacturers and suppliers, consulting on design and production and liaising with the factory foreman and manufacturing team. This role will also see you liaising with builders and architects as you take ownership of your projects from concept to completion.

• A background in cabinet making/architectural joinery 
• Computer literacy
• Experienced in Microvellum
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
• Ability to produce shop drawings 
• Ability to source and order materials
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail and multi-tasking capabilities
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
