Job Position 

Greenlands Equipment are currently seeking an experienced draftsperson to work with the product development and project management teams to design and deliver turnkey mine bore field packages and mine dewatering solutions to our clients. This is a great opportunity to be part of an experienced team with a great culture that is building a rapidly expanding business. 

The Role

Greenlands Equipment is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the role of draftsperson. The draftsperson will be responsible for a variety of key activities that include the below. 
 

• Product Development: Working with the product development team to mechanically design pumping equipment and improve on existing pump system designs. 
• Design: Working with the project management team to carry out all mechanical design and drafting requirements as required throughout the project. Some key components to be designed within a project are as follows, pump skids, valve stations, transfer pump stations, pipe layout etc. 
• Supplier Interface: Working with suppliers to select components that form part of the pump and water management system being designed. These suppliers will be suppliers of the following equipment.
  • Diesel engines. 
  • Electric motors. 
  • Pump ends. 
  • Couplings.
  • Valves.
  • Instrumentation.
  • Steel.  

The Candidate

Having an in depth knowledge and experience on our equipment type is the main area of focus, where candidates that have worked in the design of the following equipment are high on our list;
 

• Bore Field Head Works
• Underground mine dewatering pump systems. 
• Open cut mine dewatering pump systems.
• Electric and diesel driven water transfer pump systems. 

We are seeking candidates that possess the following business skills and personality traits;

• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Has a professional demeanour & work ethic.
• Is willing to undertake tasks outside of the job role where workload permits. These task would include assisting the projects team in all aspects of delivering the overall projects. 
• Has experience in CAD and/or Solid Works. 
• Is capable of writing and producing relevant technical documents related to the equipment being designed. 
• Has the willingness to work as a team and to integrate into the companies great culture. 
• Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work tasks. 
• In mechanically minded and understands pumping systems. 
• Is a problem solver that possess initiative & has a positive attitude that is solutions driven. A “Can Do” attitude is imperative. 
• Understands relevant industry standards.
