Westvic Staffing Solutions on behalf of GreenCon have Two exciting full time roles for a Draftsperson and an Estimator. These positions will see you work in one of Westen Victoria’s biggest Civil Construction companies.

GreenCon is well established South West Victoria business of over 70 years based in Cobden. With a strong community interest, we are dedicated to providing expert contracting services. We specialise in construction of Dairies, Effluent Management Systems, Rural Construction, Residential Slabs, Industrial Projects and Government Works.
GreenCon are seeking an experienced Draftsperson and an Estimator with a strong background in delivering civil works.
The successful applicant must be willing to relocate to South West Victoria.
Draftsperson Position:
The role is an important part of the team with duties and key responsibilities including:
- Use of CAD Software to design site plans
- Engineering design and drafting
- Assist with Planning & Building Permit Applications
- Preliminary Investigation of Project (Site)
- Liaise with External Consultants & Clients
- Assist with IT, Hardware & Software review’s and upgrades
- Site Surveying and drone surveying (depending on experience)
- Provide plans and documentation ready for construction
- Assist in pre-planning meetings
Applicants with the follow skills are invited to apply:
- Computer Aided Design (Autocad, Revit & Civil 3D)
- Computer (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Certificate 1V in Building Design Drafting
- Surveying (Laser/Total Station/Drone) (depending on experience)
Estimator Position:
General Statement of duties
- Prepare cost estimates for Greencon Including, but not limited to:
- kerb and channel
- footpath
- Slabs
- Industrial civil Works
- Rural Construction Works
- Commercial Building Works
- Foundation Construction
- Project Management Works
- Prepare and submit quotes and tenders
- Schedule required materials for order
- Perform site visits, for measurement discussion with client regarding potential works
- Document proposed works and estimation rationale for handover to project managers upon award of project
Special requirements and working conditions:
- Hours of work will be 7AM to 4:30PM Monday to Friday, with additional hours as required. The remuneration specified in this agreement covers payment for the overall performance of the job and overtime is not payable. Overtime will be recorded as Time in Lieu to be taken at a time when both agreed.
- Probation period for the first 6 months of employment.
- The role, levels of responsibility, reporting lines and duties may be vary from time to time throughout service with the Company.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality and keep secret, the affairs of the Companyand its customers, including all customer and transaction details.
- Faithful and diligent serve the Company and use best endeavours to promote their interest and welfare.
Skills, Qualifications & Other Requirements
- Minimum Cert IV in Building (Construction Estimation) or extensive experience in preparing construction estimates
- Ability to work independently to fulfill duties
- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Basic competency in Autodesk Civil 3D
- Basic competency in Microsoft Project
- Excellent writing and documentation skills
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction plans and specifications
- Existing rights to work in Australia
- Experience in construction management or estimation
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Drivers License
