Grid Drilling is a well established water boring and diamond drilling company based in Bundaberg. Our scope of work sees us operating mostly within Central Queensland. About the Role
We currently have a vacancy for a Drillers Offsider to join our team. In this role you will work in a safe and professional manner always alert to the possible hazards found in an active worksite.
Your daily duties will include but not limited to:
- Loading, unloading and driving trucks
- Provide ongoing support as a part of the drill team
- Setting up and tearing down the drilling equipment
- Moving between drill sites, assisting the driller
- Collecting and presenting the sample as per the clients' direction
- Clean, perform pre-starts and minor servicing of equipment
- Perform maintenance work on Rig and Ancillary Equipment
- Rod handling and drill rig assistance
- Preparation and cleaning of gear before and after mobilisation.
About You
Working in a drilling team is a varied, interesting and rewarding career. A constant awareness of safe working practice is necessary. You must enjoy working outdoors, using your initiative and have a determination and resilience not required in most jobs.
The job requirements are:
- Full Australian work rights
- HR truck license or higher
- First Aid certificate and current police check
- The ability to live and work in a safe and productive manner
- Function as a team player at all times.
- To enjoy an outdoor lifestyle.
- Be fit and healthy as the job can be demanding with long hours
- Have a good work ethic and capable of hard work.
- Some mechanical knowledge is an advantage
- Adherance to all OHS guidelines and site requirements
