Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Drillers and Drillers Offsiders to join our team. You will work in our drill crew to manage or assist in the installation and maintenance of Water Bores and monitoring wells, bore development and general rig maintenance work.

Regular Responsibilities:
- Operation of equipment, including trucks, forklifts, utes, trailers and other machinery as required,
- Assist in setting up / dismantling and moving drill rigs and ancillary equipment,
- Load/unload drill rods and other drilling equipment,
- Assist with well completion and mixing cement as required,
- Maintain the drill site, drill rig, work area, vehicles, workshop and equipment in a tidy condition with a low risk mindset, and
- Assist in routine maintenance of drill rigs, equipment, vehicles and tools.
Essential Skills / Experience:
- Active and valid C class car driver's licence,
- The ability to pass a Drug Screen, Medical and Police clearance,
- Ability and desire to learn how to operate various machinery (truck, tractor, excavator, bobcat, forklift),
- General workshop equipment maintenance skills,
- Strong work ethic, and
- Flexibility and willingness to support the team when needed.
Highly Desirable Skills / Experience:
- Previous experience within the drilling industry would be very highly regarded,
- Active and valid HR class driver’s licence (attracts higher rate),
- Workshop skills like welding, sanding and painting,
- Experience operating various machinery (e.g. truck, tractor, excavator, bobcat, forklift), and
- The ability to effectively use general technology (tablets, phones, PC) to attend inductions, submit drill logs, conduct pre-start checks, produce JRAs, etc.
Additional Information:
- This position is based in Mackay. (Relocation costs will not be provided),
- Initially, the role will be casual employment with the potential for full-time opportunities based on performance and project needs, and
- Competitive remuneration well above the award rate based on your experience and abilities.
