About The Role
Operate, supervise, and manage Army B vehicles by day and by night, on all forms of roads including off road and over difficult terrain as required.
Are you looking for action and adventure then this role is for you! We are seeking applicants for the position of Driver Specialist. This position involves the operation of Army B vehicles to carry cargo loads throughout the Puckapunyal Military Area to assist Army units.
Selected Duties:
- Prepare facilities, vehicles and equipment prior to commencement time of all tasks.
- Secures loads IAW the load restraint guide, or military instructions or SOP’s.
- Operates vehicle at all times using the System of Vehicle control to a high standard.
- Identification of any issues and timely notification to the line Manager.
About You
Skills & Experience
- Transport industry experience
- Heavy rigid licence
- Be willing to undergo an Australian Security Baseline check to obtain a defence security pass
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures including compliance with Wodonga TAFE &Defence Codes of Conduct
- Desirable Experience in transporting dangerous goods
- Desirable Previous experience working in a Military environment.
