Your Position:
If you enjoy working on a range of activities, taking pride in ensuring our community's parks and gardens are maintained to a high standard and enjoy being part of a team, this role is for you.
One of these roles sit within Council's Tree Maintenance team and would suit candidates with a keen interest in Arboriculture.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:-
- Conducting scheduled daily and weekly work programs for Parks and Open Space
- Mowing, edging, pruning, planting of trees/shrubs, sports field maintenance, pesticide application, weeding, tree maintenance and other general maintenance works
- Operate plant or implements including chipper, ride-on mowers, EWP, excavator, heavy vehicles
- Reporting all vehicle/plant problems to your team leader or plant repair staff
To be successful in this role you will have:-
- Experience in Open Space Maintenance (Arboriculture, Parks & Gardens, Sportfields)
- Experience in the operation of ride-on mowers and other small plant (ie brushcutters, push mowers, edgers, blowers)
- Traffic controllers' Certificate preferred
- MR Licence (or willingness to obtain in 3-6 months)
- Local Government working experience an advantage

- WHS Introduction to Construction Certificate (White Card)
- Current Driver's Licence
