Driver/Removalist (Property Styling)

We are METAMORPHIC Property Styling, Darwin's leading Property Styling Agency. Based in Winnellie and in business since 2015, we move our own display stock in and out of properties that are going onto the market. 

We are currently seeking an energetic and reliable Furniture Removalist to join our busy team. 

Your New Role:

As a Furniture Removalist, you should have a good understanding of the packing, storage and transport of furniture, artwork and homewares. 

This role requires someone who has a positive can-do attitude and is a strong team player. Regular lifting is involved as you will be installing furniture and other stock into our client's homes for sale. 

(Note that we generally do not handle heavy whitegoods or appliances! In fact most of our furniture is fairly lightweight so we can move it around easily.)

Duties Include:

• Provide safe delivery, installation and return of furniture packages.
• Ensure efficient and safe loading of trucks ready for transport.
• Unload and install stock safely and carefully into client's properties.
• Hang artwork, unpack stock and set-up furniture.
• Maintain a tidy, organised and clean warehouse.
• Assemble flat-pack and other furniture.
• Receive and check deliveries.
• Drive company vehicle.

Requirements

• Experience in furniture installation and/or removals is preferred but not essential.
• A high level of physical fitness and energy.
• Punctual with neat presentation as you will be working on client premises and representing Metamorphic Property Styling.
• Be adaptable to last minute changes in schedule.
• Have a current standard car licence, access to a car and a safe driving record.
• Own a mobile phone with camera.
• Be friendly with a professional demeanour at all times. We believe in creating a positive work environment, where our team feels valued and respected.

For the right candidate, we are offering a generous hourly rate with the opportunity to become full time after three months.
