We have an opportunity for a Fully Qualified Electrician or Dual Trade Electrician/Refrigeration Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years out of apprenticeship experience to join our team in Moranbah on a Full-Time 8/6 Roster, FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO. Local candidates are encouraged to apply. This role will see you maintain our client’s assets safely and to the highest of standards.
The Position
- Responsible for maintaining village accommodation units, village dining and kitchen facilities, and ancillary buildings including wet mess, gym, retail outlets.
- Responsible for maintaining residential housing in the local township.
- Repair and maintenance of single phase and 3 phase power, general lighting and power supply.
- Statutory testing and tagging of electrical appliances, both single phase and 3 phase.
- Responsible for all electrical and statutory compliance on non-process infrastructure.
- Perform and manage preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs on electrical infrastructure.
- Investigation of electrical failures, analysis and recommendation for rectification.
- Undertake new minor electrical installations.
- Attend to urgent requests at site outside of normal working hours.
- Responsibility for maintaining appropriate stock levels of parts and equipment to ensure the smooth supply to the electrical department.
- Assisting all trades (refrigeration, plumbing, general building).
- Participate in an on-call roster rotation
- Initiative-taking demonstration of commitment to Zero Harm safety culture
- Performing work in a safe manner, abiding by our safe work procedures, instructions, and safety management practices
- Use safety equipment and personal protective equipment as provided.
- Participate in the call out roster and attend emergency call outs as required.
- Proactively work to improve processes through continuous improvement and innovation.
- Assisting all trades (electrical, plumbing, general building)

Minimum Criteria
- QLD Electrical Licence - Must hold a full Licence - Essential
- Restricted or Full ARTICK Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Current Open Drivers Licence {Manual}
- Construction White Card (CPCCOHS1001A - Work safely in the construction industry or CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry)
- Demonstrable post trade experience working in a Commercial / Industrial environment, (large FM environment / Mine Camp Village
- Strong working knowledge of our commitment to Zero Harm
- Excellent work ethic with pride in workmanship
- Sound time management skills, self- motivated and organised
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to determine resource and material requirements for work.
