We have an amazing opportunity available for an experienced Duty Manager for this busy venue located in Far North Queensland.
This role would suit an experienced Duty Manager with strong bar, gaming and food & beverage experience looking to be a part of a friendly local community.
Covering bar, gaming, restaurant, bistro and bottleshop, you will join a well-supported group of hotels. The successful candidate should be looking to join and enhance the existing strong ties to the local community.
The location is rich in culture, history and natural beauty. It offers a welcoming environment with great fishing and local facilities including supermarkets, public library, specialty stores, hospitality venues and medical facilities etc.

CANDIDATES MUST HOLD THEIR QLD RMLV & APPROVED MANAGERS OR BE WILLING TO OBTAIN PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT
Commence: ASAP
Pay Details: (HIGA Level 5 Award FULLTIME)
- $27.83 per hour Monday-Friday
- $30.45 per hour after 7PM M-F
- $34.79 per hour-Saturday
- $41.75 per hour Sunday

Assistance with travel if you agree to a minimum 6 month employment period.
Duties:
- General day to day duties in bar and bottle shop including bistro service
- Supervision and training of F&B staff
- General gaming duties-payouts and gaming clearances
- Cash up and balance of tills
- Open and close procedures
- Making drinks, stocking fridges
- Maintaining stock levels
- Other duties as requested
Candidate:
- Must be willing to live and work on a remote island
- Have a current RSA & RSG
- Have or be willing to obtain a QLD RMLV (Approx $300) + QLD Approved Manager
- Have previous hospitality experience at supervisory level
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Will be required to undertake a Fit2Work Clearance
Other Details:
- Access via daily flights and transfers
- Telstra is the main phone service provider utilised, with some Optus coverage available
- Excellent fishing
