About the role
Long Chim is seeking a full-time Duty Manager to support and complement our management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step up and bring your experience into a premium setting. Support will be provided by State Buildings’ management to develop and progress your career by providing opportunities to learn and grow in the industry. Expectations would include, developing front of house staff, implementing operational procedures and ensuring a spectacular guest experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Duty Manager your duties and responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the operational efficiency of the restaurant during the shift.
- Assist in the implementation of Long Chim's Standard Operating Procedures.
- Supervise team members to ensure they provide a superior service and create memorable experiences for guests responding to requests, enquiries and complaints.
- Maintain knowledge of products, services, policies and procedures.
- Ensure the team maintains a professional manner at all times and are up to date with VIP guest movements, hotel events, local attractions and activities.
- Liaise with the Kitchen Team on a daily basis to ensure the food program is being delivered as per expectation.
- Work closely with all other departments to maximise experience and profitability within the food and beverage offering.
- Maintain close working relationships with Department Heads to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Support and assist the team to ensure they are fully conversant with all food and beverage procedures.

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous management experience.
- A strong hospitality background.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to deliver memorable experiences to every guest.
- Obtained an RSA certificate and Approved Managers (preferred).
