Duty Planner

General Officer Level 4: $88,392 -$94,796 plus superannuation 

Full time, permanent

Commence your planning career in local government with this entry level position.  The Duty Planner position is an important first point of contact for development queries and provides planning advice to customers by telephone, written correspondence and at the front counter.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Formal qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or, similar, (students nearing the completion of their studies are encouraged to apply)
• Good knowledge of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and Regulations. 
• Experience delivering excellent customer service.
• Well-developed communication skills and proactive approach to build positive relationships and meet deadlines consistently.
• An ability to prioritise task and problem solve to create a positive customer experience.

Statutory Planner

General Officer Level 5: $96,928 - $101,201 plus superannuation

Full time, permanent

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a highly motivated and suitably skilled Statutory Planner to provide planning advice and undertake planning assessments on a wide range of development types across the Council district. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Formal qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or, similar, 
• Detailed knowledge of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and Regulations. 
• A strong track record delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience in planning assessment in a local or state government role.
• Well-developed communication skills and proactive attitude to build positive relationships and ensure priorities and deadlines are met.
• The ability to think logically and problem solve to create a positive customer experience.
