Job description

Opportunity has presented where we are seeking 2 new team members at our wonderful community-based Preschool, working with 3-5 years during school terms.  We are seeking a full-time educator Monday- Friday 8am- 4pm and a part time educator supporting inclusion with flexible hours 5-7 hours daily, preferable Wednesday, Thursday Friday.

Our hope is that you will become a valued member of an inclusive preschool that has a collaborative approach to the curriculum, a love for nature-based play and a commitment to embedding Indigenous perspectives with a strong connection to Place. Valuing relationships and inclusion is essential. Opportunity for professional development to strengthen these skills will be available. To be considered for this position, applicants must have the following:

  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia.
  • A Certificate 3 or Diploma in Children’s Services recognised by ACECQA (working towards considered)
  • Experience working within an Early Childhood setting.
  • Effective techniques in the cycle of planning.
  • Values and contributes to a collaborative team approach and demonstrates initiative.
  • Can establish & maintain positive & professional child, family & educator relationships.
  • Is passionate about learning through play and an interest and commitment to inclusion, nature play, has strong values for children’s autonomy & rights, and strives in their daily practices to support children in positive social and emotional wellbeing, based on their stage of development, interests and curiosities. 
  • Leadership qualities- punctual, motivated, has initiative, with a strong ambition to model & contribute to education standards of excellence, have a passion for continued learning, being responsive to new ideas and ‘think outside the box’
  • Has a sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, Quality Standards and Regulations
  • A current NSW Employee Working with Children Check and Police Clearance

Preferable for this position: 

  • A current First Aid/Anaphylaxis/Asthma
  • Experience and interest in inclusive practices.
  • Completed current training in child protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children.
