Early Childhood Educator - Inclusion Support
Temporary part-time position for immediate start until 18 December 2024
(Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 28 hours per week)
Peak Hill Preschool Kindergarten Inc. is seeking a passionate Certificate 3 qualified educator to support children with additional needs within our service alongside their peers so that all children have genuine opportunities to access, participate and achieve positive learning outcomes .The successful applicant will work in a supportive team environment, providing high-quality education and care to children aged 3-5 years.
Essential criteria:
- Minimum Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education (or working towards)
- Current Working with Children Check
- An understanding of the child safe standards and child protection reporting
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework including National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Experience in observing and documenting children's play using the EYLF
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children and families.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development
- Willing to undergo police check
Desirable Criteria
- Child Protection training (CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one on one support to children with additional needs within the service
- Provide a safe and engaging learning environment that promotes positive outcomes for all children.
- Engage with and develop positive, caring, respectful relationships with children and families, colleagues and the wider community, providing opportunities for involvement in the program.
- Assist and contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs based on the children’s needs, strengths and interests and in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Contribute to and maintain accurate and up-to-date observations of the children's learning and developmental assessments.
- Engage in critical reflection of children’s learning and the educational program.
- Comply with the Preschool’s policies and procedures and adhere to the Education and Care Service National Law and Regulations, and the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics.
- Attend professional development opportunities to develop and maintain own professional growth, and share knowledge and skills learnt with colleagues for professional growth of the team.

Peak Hill Preschool Kindergarten Inc is a not-for-profit community preschool located in Peak Hill on the Newell Highway between Dubbo and Parkes in NSW. We operate in NSW school terms Monday to Friday from 9am-3pm. We are a child safe organisation and are licensed for 19 children a day.
