At Lutheran Education Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania (LEVNT) we are passionate about providing quality education and care within a Christian environment to children attending our Services throughout our region.
Little Saints Preschool is an Early Childhood Service offering sessional preschool located in Jindera, providing care for up to 30 children per day through a NSW Preschool funded program. We are seeking a Part Time Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator working 15-16hours per week during Term time on a fixed contract until end of 2024.
The Role
This role requires the successful applicant to work collaboratively with a team of Early Childhood Teachers and Educators to deliver a Preschool program which adheres to the NSW Start Strong Funding Guide requirements. The educator, alongside their team, will use the planning cycle to deliver high quality, innovative programs that cater to the developmental needs and interests of the children in their care. The successful applicant will build and maintain positive relationships with children, their families and colleagues to ensure a respectful, safe environment for all people who use and work at our service.
Selection Criteria
- Working knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law 2010 and Regulations 2011 and the National Quality Framework Assessment and Rating System.
- Demonstrated high levels of skills in communication and consultation that would indicate the capacity to work effectively with people from all sectors of the children’s services community, including Service Leaders, managers, local school principals, government representatives, families and the wider community.
- Ability to identify and use information and other available resources to implement policies, procedures, priorities and practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Early Childhood sector operations and programs including children’s developmental stages and their emotional, physical and other needs.
- Knowledge of health, safety, hygiene and first aid principles, including WH&S and risk management.
- An ability to work in a Christian context and participate in service events.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
