About the Role
Koorana runs two Department of Education Licensed Preschools and we’re seeking applications for the below roles to join our team at Roselands to commence immediately:
- 1 x ACECQA approved Diploma qualified full time Early Childhood Educator working 5 days a week from 8.00am – 4.00pm in term time only; and
- 1 x Certificate III qualified full time Early Childhood Educator (Support Role) working 5 days a week from 8.00am – 4.00pm in term time only.

- Child Protection legislation and implications
- Workplace Health and Safety legislation and issues
The Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator will contribute to the operation of an inclusive preschool program. They will work collaboratively with the wider preschool team to deliver a quality early childhood education program which reflects the goals of the National Quality Curriculum Framework. They will also:
- Implement specific intervention strategies, as determined by the Director and transdisciplinary team.
- Engage in reflective practice and assessment to enrich children’s learning.
- Assist the teams to prepare resources to support children’s learning outcomes.
- Maintain effective communication to support the successful delivery of service to children and families.
- Adhere to national regulations, as outlined in Koorana’s Preschool Policies and Procedures.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved) or a Certificate III (depending on the role you are applying for).
- Certificate in ‘Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk’.
- An understanding of:
- Be able to be proactive but also act on guidance and work according to organisational standards and expectations.
- Plan and implement a high-quality early childhood curriculum.
- Enjoy working in a team-focused setting.
- Ability to effectively communicate with children, families, colleagues and Koorana management.
- Be passionate about play-based education practice.
- Experience in working with children with additional learning needs, within an early childhood setting.
- Have a sound understanding of inclusive practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse community.
- The ability to effectively collaborate with other professionals.
- A high standard of verbal and written communication skills.
- An understanding of early child development and evidence-based practice in early childhood education and care.
- Ability to engage children in age- and developmentally appropriate activities and experiences.
- Covid-19 Vaccination Status or Exemption in line with the Public Health Orders.
- First Aid Certificate (including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis).
- Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screen Check.
