About Dandenong North Pre School
Dandenong North Pre School is a not-for-profit, community-based Kindergarten managed by a voluntary committee of parents. It offers three and four year old kindergarten programs. We are a well established kindergarten that has been part of the Dandenong community for over 40 years
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Dandenong North Pre School for the 3-year-old kinder program.
This is an ongoing position working 7.5 hours per day (5 hrs contact + 2.5 hours non-contact) three days per week, Monday to Wednesday. 8:30am to 4:00pm
You will be responsible for leading the programming of children's learning and development for a range of abilities. You will work with a team of dedicated staff to create a stimulating, positive, and inclusive environment. Your practice will reflect the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and uphold the National Quality Standard (NQS)
Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience working in a sessional kindergarten environment although this is not a pre-requisite, under the VECTEA award.

What will you do?
The Early Childhood Teacher will:
- Develop a high-quality educational program for the 3-year-old kinder program in consultation with families, children, and Educators.
- Lead, mentor and support your team in developing learning environments and experiences.
- Be involved in the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan of the service
- Respect the confidentiality of information relating to parents and children, and comply with the service’s privacy policy
- Always operate in a professional manner and ensure that the service meets the requirements of the Department of Education and Training (DET) Kindergarten Funding Guide; Education and Care Services National Law (National Law); Education and Care Services National Regulations (Regulations) and functions in line with approved policies, procedures and the Quality Improvement Plan of the service.
- Work in accordance with the standards outlined in the Early Childhood Australia (ECA) Code of Ethics, the Victorian Institute (VIT) Code of conduct and Child Safety Code of Conduct.
Essential
- Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent
- Current VIT registration
- Current first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma training
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
