Role and Responsibilities:
This part time, permanent role will see the successful candidate working as a support person to International Students, both boarding and non-boarding.
They will:
- Collaborate with the Admissions, Academic and Boarding teams to ensure the successful transition of new International students from their home country to Australia.
- Support Academic staff and students in the International English Learning Centre with translation when required.
- Translate academic reports
- Support effective parent/teacher meetings with verbal translation.
- Encourage International students’ and families participation in the school community.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Ability in spoken and written Mandarin, with experience in translation tasks.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Experience gained within the education sector, particularly with International students.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding relationship building skills to build effective rapport with Students, Academic, Boarding staff and familes.
- Comfort to leverage technology to establish and maintain communication with International parent community
- Candidates with a background in International Student support services, cross-cultural communication, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
