About Northern Schools Early Years Cluster
The Northern Schools Early Years Cluster (NSEYC) is an Years Management group that supports 16 Early Childhood services, 14 of which are co-located on school sites. We are proud to have been awardedin two categories in the 2023 Department of Education’s Victorian Early Years Awards.The Ministers award for our Continuity of Early Learning recognised theNSEYC Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) model that supports collaboration between Early Childhood services and primary schools at every level and provides continuity of learning for children and families as they transition from kindergarten to school. The second award, Improving Access and Participation in Early Learning, recognized NSEYC's commitment to improving access and participation for disadvantaged families and children by fast-tracking 15 hours of funded 3-year-old kindergarten. We provide 15 hours of funded kindergarten at all of our services for 3 and 4-year-olds. Our purpose is to “Love a Life of Learning and Living,” and we aim to set the highest standard of early years education in partnership with local schools and the community. We are committed to maximising outcomes for children in the early years, encouraging opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s early education and promoting professional career support, development and well-being for our educators.
The Opportunity
We are seeking to employ an experienced Early Childhood Teacher who will implement a high-quality kindergarten program in our Sessional kindergarten. This is an opportunity to be part of an integrated Kindergarten to Grade 6 Model with a passionate team that is committed to supporting the best outcomes for the children and families in our diverse communities.
The position is for 22.5 hours spread over 3 days per week during the school terms.

To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Extensive knowledge of child development and capabilities in planning, implementing and evaluating a quality Early Childhood education program.
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, current reforms and trends in Early Childhood education and care.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing learning and development.
- A commitment to inclusion and equity and cultural competency.

You will have considerable experience in pedagogy, a strong understanding of the practice principles of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the National Quality Standards. Our teams work alongside allied health professionals, including speech pathologists, psychologists, schools and community to deliver positive outcomes for children and families.
