The role
An exciting opportunity is currently available for a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teacher, with VIT Registration, to join our team. You will be supported in your role by a team of Diploma Qualified permanent educators, who also have a wealth of knowledge and experience. You will create an inspiring indoor and outdoor learning environment, and you will have autonomy over your room budget, as you provide open ended experiences in line with a relaxed play-based program.

Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and implement high-quality educational programs and achieve quality learning outcomes.
- Lead, mentor and motivate your team and utilise your proven history of ensuring quality and compliance is always of the highest standard.
- Create and maintain an inclusive, fun, safe, healthy, productive and respectful learning environment.
- Create and maintain excellent relationships with children, families, and other team members.
- Keep records of children’s progress, routines and interests.
- Ensure compliance with routines, policies, processes and practices.
Requirements
As a fun, nurturing, and calm Early Childhood professional, you will utilise your strong ability and experience forming professional relationships & communicate effectively with families in this position.
- Unrestricted Australian working rights.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience running a program and leading a team of educators.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability between the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm
- Relevant, ACECQA recognised qualifications.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
- Child Protection Training (or willing to complete).
- Culturally aware with a solution focussed, positive outlook.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for developing a program for our integrated 3 Year Old funded kinder program.
- Knowledge of Storypark (highly regarded).
Requirements
- Confident knowledge of the VEYLDF & NQS.
- Experience in a funded kinder program setting would be highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills with families, peers & managers.
- Experience in play-based curriculums that focus on connection to nature.
- Enquiry based learning, loose parts play and school readiness.
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
- Hold a full or provisional VIT registration and other qualifications recognised by ACECQA, first aid etc.
