We are a small 24 place centre in Frankston seeking an enthusiastic and confident Early Childhood Teacher to run our 3-5 year funded Kindergarten program. We have a strong, positive working environment and a good team culture. Our focus is maintaining strong relationships with our children, their families, our community and achieving the best outcomes for them. Our candidate must be passionate about children's learning and supporting them to become confident and independent learners.
Skills and experience
- Bachelor of Early Childhood and Primary Education, Masters of Education (Early Childhood) or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration (VIT)
- Current First Aid, CPR & Early Childhood- Protecting Children
- Understanding and working knowledge of the VEYLDF and NQF
- Good planning and organizational skills and ability to guide assistant educators working within the Kindergarten program
Job role and responsibilities
- Plan, implement, guide and monitor a play based curriculum and communicate with families on their child's learning and development
- Weekly planning and programming
- Quarterly newsletter and summaries of learning for children in the Kindergarten program
- Hold parent-teacher meetings and inform parents on the learning and development of children within the Kindergarten program
- Work in a team of experienced educators and with the management team
- Process data on the Kindergarten Information Management System (KIMS)
- Attend staff meetings and planned professional development sessions
Salary will be determined by qualification and experience.
