We are seeking a Centre Director to lead an Early Learning Centre (ECL), which is a 59-place service for 2-5 year olds. This is a unique opportunity to join a values-led, not for profit organisation who provide a diverse range of wraparound social services to the community.
The Director will lead the Early Learning Centre to ensure the operation of a high-quality Education and Care service which supports and promotes positive Early Learning educational outcomes for children and their families. As the Centre Director, you will be responsible for:
- Service to children: Ensuring the ELC team of Early Childhood Teachers and Educators have the appropriate knowledge and skills to deliver high quality educational programs
- Service to families: Developing and maintaining strong relationships that support and partner with families to guide their children’s learning and development.
- Connecting with community: Networking widely to promote proactive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
- Program excellence: Ensuring that an early childhood education program is delivered to all children that is underpinned by the EYLF and NQS
- Sustainable operations- Provide stewardship over allocation of resources effectively, economically and efficiently.
About You
For this appointment, we are seeking an established and experienced Early Learning leader with a successful track record having led a centre and team. In addition, the successful candidate will have;
- Tertiary Degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA recognised)
- Current NSW Education Standards Authority Accreditation (NESA) registration
- Commitment to and a willingness and ability to promote and apply the mission & values of CatholicCare
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in leading a team in early years’ education and care
- Strong knowledge of contemporary pedagogical leadership and practice
- Extensive knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations and licensing
- requirements as they apply to Early Childhood settings
- Extensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics
- Accept the role of Educational Leader and Nominated Supervisor
- Demonstrated ability to reflect on feedback from others, use it as an opportunity to learn and take
- appropriate action
- Current unencumbered NSW drivers' licence
