Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse ready to assume the role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager in our Early Parenting Unit?
Position Responsibilities
The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the ward/unit to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients. You will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based. With the assistance and direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources.
Northpark Private Hospital is a leading healthcare facility that specializes in acute surgical, medical, maternity and mental health services.
Located in the rapidly developing Northern suburbs of Melbourne, Northpark and La Trobe Private are very easily accessed via the Western Ring Road, Eastern Freeway and also by public transport.
The hospital currently has 145 beds, including a 4 bed HDU and 5 theatres.
Our planned expansion will include increase in Mental health beds and growth of 4 theatres and 34 beds with additional consulting suites as well at our LaTrobe site.
Selection Criteria:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children check
- Experience in the Paediatric and/or Psychiatric Nursing
- Previous leadership experience (highly desirable)
- Sound clinical knowledge
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive role modelling behaviours
- Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
- Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment
