The Project relates to transition from a current provider to a new provider for:
- Warehousing of Nutritional products and consumables
- Freight related to deliveries to over 2000 patients of the above products across Queensland
- Develop project plans and apply appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.
- Manage the successful delivery of System Procurement program deliverables in line with the department's project management methodologies.
- Strategically engage and maintain strong professional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in the development of operating models, frameworks and other outputs to drive engagement and positive outcomes.
- Proactively monitor, control and drive performance against project plans, deliverables and schedules.
- Facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations
- Represent the project at senior levels and establish and sustain mutually productive partnerships with stakeholders at both local and state-wide levels.
- Manage risks and issues identification, assessment and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, managed, reviewed and escalated as appropriate
- Evidenced background in successfully managing and delivering complex and large scale procurement projects.
- Expertise in applying established project management methodologies and providing advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques and tools.
- Well-developed leadership and team management skills, and experience in building and sustaining high profile multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve high quality project outcomes.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal competence, including resilience and a proven ability to lead negotiations, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivate others in a significant environment of reform and change.
- Ability to identify and drive process improvement by using evidence to demonstrate the need for change, as well as the being able to communicate how change may be enacted.
- Proven issue identification, analytical and research skills, problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sensitive and practical solutions and provide expert strategic advice to complex issues
- An experienced resource with project management and implementation experience in projects relating to
- Logistics
- Warehousing
- Any experience in the healthcare sector relating to distribution and logistics will be highly regarded.
- Strong Stakeholder management skills
- Experience in using PM tools and reporting to senior leadership on project progress especially elements relating to:
- Progress against deadlines
- Risks and Escalations
- Any ICT related issues or challenges
- Preparing an implementation closure report for the Senior stakeholders at the conclusion of the project.
