The Collections Associate (Early Stage) will be responsible for managing delinquent customer accounts and accurate maintenance for all contacts by applying the appropriate ANZ Collections processes and strategies. This entails effective negotiation and management of customer response to design a payment scheme that would accommodate both the customer and bank, agree on the designed payment schedule, and educate them on future payment behaviour.

The Collections Associate (Early Stage) will be responsible for managing delinquent customer accounts and accurate maintenance for all contacts by applying the appropriate ANZ Collections processes and strategies. This entails effective negotiation and management of customer response to design a payment scheme that would accommodate both the customer and bank, agree on the designed payment schedule, and educate them on future payment behaviour.
In addition, the Collections Associate will be expected to:
- Deliver results through the efficient actioning of accounts, in terms of accounts worked in classes, mail and email referrals, and incoming calls
- Follow Legal (and broader bank) policies, procedures and strategies, and base decisions on these guidelines, working within individually assigned CAD
- Answer queries from customers, mercantile agents, solicitors, and other key stakeholders
- Action accounts in a timely manner, including raising provisions for accounts where required by credit policy
- Ensure that work is of high quality and that attention is paid to detail in order to avoid errors
- Follow up any anomalies that may occur through errors from internal and external parties (including mercantile agents and solicitors)

Role Type: Full time role
Shift Schedule: Dayshift schedules will be adhered to
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Excellent customer service skills, exposure to Excel, MS Word, Outlook, Internet explorer and the Windows interface will the key skills required
Contact Centre and/or Collections experience will be an advantage
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where targets need to be reached
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong financial and numerical literacy
