Early Years Registration Officer

  • Permanent Part-Time
  • 22.8 Hours Per week
  • Salary commencing at $37 per hour plus 11% superannuation, commensurate with experience.
  • Coordinate and administer Council's Central Registration Service
The Opportunity
This position will see you coordinating and administering the Central Registration Service for registration of children into Council's Early Years programs. Contributing to the success of the Family & Children Services department, you will be responsible for providing high level customer service to families, parents and services seeking information about central registration.
Reporting directly to the Team Leader Early Years Services and Systems Support, you will be responsible for the following;
  • Attend to enquiries for Early Years services through the Central Registration Service within the municipality;
  • Provide timely and accurate processing of central registration, trial analysis, placement allocations, waiting lists and correspondence to families and participating Early Years services;
  • Respond to customer enquiries ensuring all obligations, agreements and timelines are met;
  • Relevant administrative and system tasks to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the unit.
Skills & Experience
  • Certificate III in Business Administration and/or demonstrated relevant experience in office administration;
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high quality and responsive customer service;
  • Understanding of administrative and funding requirements of Early Years services, particularly kindergarten and long day care;
  • Experience in High level administrative processing and systems and database management.
  • Current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
