We are looking for a passionate?Ecologist and Senior Zoologist to join our well-established national team of ecological experts. This role will be based in our Melbourne office.You will provide ecological assessments and advice on infrastructure project approvals and natural resource management. This will include initial constraint and options assessment, rehabilitation monitoring, project approval and permitting, targeted threatened species surveys, biodiversity surveys, impact and offset assessments and ecological management plans. You will also: Prepare environmental reports, proposals and tenders Plan and oversee the smooth running of projects with a range of complexity and scale Build strong relationships with clients and contribute to new business development opportunities Mentor junior staff and assist with their learning and professional growthWhat you’ll doYou have studied an Environmental or Natural Science discipline such as ecology, botany or biology.You're likely to have previous consulting/advisory experience in biodiversity impact assessment and offsetting. You will also bring the following experience and attributes: Field experience such as fauna and/or flora surveys, ecological monitoring, plant species and threatened ecological community identification, ecological data collection and analysis, managing project teams, etc. Practical experience with bushland management, ecological restoration and input into sustainable ecological design principles for pragmatic outcomes PCTs and vegetation identification training and botany skills Accredited Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) assessor (or willing to obtain) Some experience in GIS, field mapping and developing and managing…
