What will you do?
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an eCommerce Digital Design Manager to be a part of a creative and supportive team here at Target! With so much digital growth and expansion within the Digital Team, we welcome a innovative eCommerce Digital professional to bring their creative ideas to life, where you will be truly making a difference by bringing Targets Vision and Digital strategy to light.
This role leads the team that creates all the design work for maintenance and campaign work for the APP and Website. Additionally, it leads the UX team that designs all the solutions for our Digital Product teams. This role works collaboratively with stakeholders to develop innovative creative online content that meets branding requirements in accordance with strategic direction and delivers an exceptional digital experience
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Work with managing a team and strong collaboration with stakeholders to deliver creative solutions and options that deliver inspiring online content that provides a positive customer experience whilst maintaining the integrity of the Target brand.
- Maintain strategic, creative, technical and digital design guidelines ensuring compliance to standards ensuring useability, clean CSS and SEO requirements and standards are met.
- Adhere to all web processes in relation to briefings, conceptualizing, wireframes, photography, page builds, artwork approvals, proof-reading, testing, uploads and general housekeeping.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to manage online projects, delivering outstanding design work whilst maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrate the Target vision, strategy and values within the team and across the organization.
- Accountable for a safe workplace by identifying and reporting safety concerns, leading by example by maintaining a safe work environment with demonstrating safe working behaviour.
What are we looking for?
The ideal person will be excited and inspired with kicking of new and transformational projects during the peak of growth and expansion within the digital space. You will be playing a critical role within the eCommerce digital team partnering with the Marketing team, Digital Development team, Online Trading Partners and Web Production Team.
About you:
- Expert in digital design and practices for ecommerce, ideally in a retail environment with 5+ years experience.
- Experience in big box apparel fashion and retail is an advantage
- Strong understanding of current digital design principles and trends
- Strong understanding of end to end user experiences and the benefit good design brings
- Experience designing for the responsive websites, in store digital, apps and mobile interfaces
- Knowledge of UX principles, competent at using ecommerce content management systems and proficient in HTML/CSS
- Confident in working with stakeholders to gain buy in and sign off on visual executions
