ABOUT US
Urban Shoemakers is a shoe importer and wholesaler with over 30 years’ experience servicing the independent footwear market in Australian, New Zealand and North America. We design, produce and import shoes for our multiple in-house footwear brands, including EOS and Los Cabos. Our shoes are then supplied to our Ecommerce Web Shop (B2C) and wholesale customers (B2B).
Due to recent changes within our business, we are now seeking a fit and highly motivated Fulfilment Associate to join our close knit and vibrant team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is full-time, Monday to Friday (8:00am to 4:30pm) with no weekend work and will be an immediate start for the right candidate.
You will have an opportunity to work in a small growing company and play and integral role in the fulfilment Web Shop.
To thrive in our fast-paced environment you will need to be fit, well organised and able to balance a face paced work environment, while still have time for fun.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Moving and organising new merchandise within the web shop warehouse
- Picking merchandise required to fulfil ecommerce customer orders
- Thoroughly inspecting picked merchandise for damage or other problems
- Neatly packaging merchandise for shipment
- Double-checking picked merchandise against customer orders to ensure accuracy
- Updating the inventory tracking system with order information
- Receiving customer returns, inspecting returned merchandise, repacking merchandise neatly, and re-stocking the merchandise in the web shop warehouse
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE
- Able to climb a ladder to restock web shop merchandise
- Strong reading and critical thinking skills to carry out customer orders
- Oral communication skills to effectively work alongside other members of the fulfilment team
- Enough physical stamina to remain upright and move during the entire duration of a shift
- High-level listening skills to hear and remember instructions provided by the warehouse manager
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety and health standards
- Ability to work in the conditions of your warehouse, which may be hot, cold or noisy
