Yakult Australia is a global leader in probiotics, manufacturing and marketing the unique fermented milk drink, ‘Yakult’. Sales have grown substantially in Australia since 1994. We operate in all states of Australia, with our head office and state-of-the-art manufacturing plant located in Dandenong South, Victoria.
An exciting opportunity currently exists to join the Yakult Australia Public Relations team as an Education and Tour Facilitator, at our head office in Dandenong. This role will report to the Head of the Public Relations Department.
Yakult Australia will provide on the job training and product knowledge, however a diploma, degree or work experience in education, training, or nutrition will be looked upon favorably.
We are after someone with an interest in running tours and presentations and eligible for a working with children's check.
Hours of work
8:00am to 4:30pm (including half hour lunch break) for 2 days per week
Key duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Promoting and enhancing the Yakult Australia schools and education program by conducting internal site tours, external school visits (primary, secondary, and tertiary) and through the establishment and maintenance of suitable education resources. Providing nutritional talks and educational presentations for all age grounds as well as liaising with teachers.
- Strengthening brand awareness through communicating education, nutrition, and brand content via digital media.
- Being the first point of contact for client enquiries regarding educational bookings, helping to provide information to clients about our services and coordination of bookings as required.
- Respond to written, phone, and online enquiries concerning Yakult Australia including product composition and benefits.
- Assisting in receiving and resolving customer enquiries and complaints.
The ideal candidate would have:
- Great attention to detail and highly organised
- Proven public speaking abilities
- Ability to multi-task with a proactive, can-do attitude
- A background in education, training, and/or nutrition
Career development
There is potential for career development opportunities over time as new roles are created and existing roles become available. This is a three-month casual role, however there is the opportunity to develop into a full-time permanent position.
