Experience Gold Coast
On 1 September 2023, HOTA has joined Experience Gold Coast, a super entity which combined HOTA, Study Gold Coast, Destination Gold Coast, Placemakers* and Major Events Gold Coast in an exciting new chapter that will see the city’s tourism, events, education, arts and culture portfolios working as one organisation focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for the city.
Position Overview
The Education Producer will be responsible for coordinating, promoting and supervising the roll out of the Education Program. You will develop an annual program across the HOTA Precinct that includes development of product which responds to the needs and requirements of the local regions primary and secondary education sector. Please note, this position is a permanent, part-time position offered at 30.4 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with the local primary and secondary education sector to gain a comprehensive understanding of their needs around the supply of curriculum responsive theatre and artistic works.
- Establish a ‘Teachers Reference Committee’
- Work with the Senior Producer and the HOTA Programming team to create a program of works (The Program) which responds to the needs and requirements of the local regions primary and secondary education sector.
- Ensure that The Program is engaging, relevant and wherever possible includes a balanced mix of locally and nationally created work.
- Develop and manage a schools database to include schools, drama and dance schools.
- Assist the Marketing Department in creating marketing materials specifically for promoting the Education / Schools Programs.
Skills and Experience
- Previous Education experience as a teacher, arts coordinator or curriculum advisor
- Comprehensive knowledge of the NSW and Queensland curriculums for years Prep to Year 12
- Excellent office administration and computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- At least 3 years' providing first class customer service in a fast-paced environment
