Strawberry Fields Cottage Wamberal is looking for a new Educational Leader to guide and support our team of Educators. We're looking for someone with proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills to step into this role as our current Educational Lead goes on maternity leave.

We are a family owned preschool and long daycare that cares for children from 0 to 5 years old. Our teaching style is based on children's interests and playful learning - so we're seeking applicants with strong planning skills, initiative, and a genuine love for working with children.
Our service has a loyal client base, and we have developed many meaningful relationships with families and the local community over the years.
As a successful candidate for this position, you will have -
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor level qualification in Early Childhood Education, OR a Diploma qualification with prior industry experience
- At least 2 years of management experience in the Child Care sector
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Eligibility to apply for Nominated Supervisor as approved by the Australian Children’s Educational and Care Quality Authority (ACEQA)
- Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certification
Skills:
- Strong understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Experience with Assessment and Rating in Early Childhood Education
- Proven excellence in communication and team management skills
- Experience with using Childcare Management Software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Responsibilities:
- Guide and support the delivery of high-quality learning outcomes
- Guide and support the implementation of a high-quality curriculum based on the NQS and the Early Years Learning Framework
- Ensuring educator practices are consistent with the National Law and Regulations, and service policies and procedures
- Leading the assessment of children’s learning through planning, documenting, and evaluating learning
- Lead critical reflection of the curriculum, educator practices, professional relationships, interactions with children and the environment
- Ensuring routines are used to promote learning outcomes
- Regularly reviewing children’s progress towards the specified learning outcomes
- Teaching, coaching and assessing educators and trainees in core values.
