We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher or studying towards Early Childhood Education degree to join our beautiful Kirrawee Tribe! In this role you will provide leadership and management, guide, and mentor the educators and casuals in the room. You will be responsible for the routines and programming for all children. The role is full time working 5 days a week, will consider a flexible work arrangement for the right candidate. You will be supported by our dedicated leadership team to help you grow and expand your knowledge as a teacher.
As an Educational Leader you will have a significant theoretical and practical knowledge of child development and the Early Years Learning Framework. You will be responsible for supporting all educators to contribute to the service curriculum, ensuring each child is represented within it. You will be involved in developing and evaluating individual support plans as a passion for equity and commitment to advocating for each child’s rights is essential.
Orchard Early Learning Centre Kirrawee offers a fresh approach to early learning, drawing on the natural environment to inspire children to become discoverers, learners and thinkers – holistically preparing them for a life of learning and wellbeing. The Centre operates from 6.30am - 6.30pm, and is split across two distinct floors, nursery and preschool.
Orchard ELC Kirrawee Preschool offers an amazing outdoor play area, open floor plan with designated areas for play and learning, state of the art designed building and fantastic staff support. We are located a short walk from Kirrawee train station and opposite South Village on Oak Road in Kirrawee.
About your skills.
- Clear and articulated experience working with children from 0-5 years, with passion in the Preschool specific curriculum
- Experience in guiding children’s behaviours
- Excellent knowledge of EYLF and NQS
- Established people and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of preschool readiness program and educational theories
- Experience in leading educators in guiding children’s behaviours
- Commitment and skill in providing quality and appropriate experiences and inviting learning environments for children.
- Demonstrated theoretical and practical knowledge of child development and play.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skill, including documentation skills.
- Understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene, and nutritional needs
- Provide support and mentorship to individual team members
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching or a Diploma (or equivalent as recognised by ACECQA)
- WWC, First Aid Certificate and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates and child protection
- Proven experience in leading and developing a large team of professional educators preferred
- Passion for coaching, mentoring and growing educators
- Established people and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skill, including documentation skills
- Superior knowledge of EYLF and NQS
