The role of Educator – Certificate III is responsible for assistance in the provision of effective education and care that encourages positive learning outcomes and meets the Central Coast Council (CCC) objective of making the Central Coast a place of continual learning.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Council will also be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other Educator Certificate III positions across other Council Childcare Centres on the Central Coast.
Key activities of this role include:
- Assist in the delivery of quality education and care functions in accordance with National Quality Framework requirements and CCC’s policies and procedures
- Provide ongoing support to the team and assist with problem solving in conjunction with other staff
- Interact positively with the children to facilitate their learning experiences
- Initiate and maintain communication, support and confidentiality to foster positive relationships between the Centre and families and with fellow colleagues.
About you:
- You have a Certificate III qualification in early Childhood Education and Care
- You hold a current Current First Aid Certificate
- You have a current CPR Certificate
- You have a current Certificate in Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management
- You have a current Working with Children Check or are willing to obtain one prior to any formal offer of employment
- You are able to demonstrate your understanding of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework
- You are able to build strong, credible relationships with staff, children, parents and other stakeholders.

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $55.2k to $66.2k per annum dependent on skills and experience + 11% superannuation.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus (Boostrix), MMR and Varicella or demonstrate their immunity. CMV screening will also be required.
