 About the Role:

We are in need of an experienced EHS Advisor to work onsite at our wind farm in Goyder, South Australia

We will consider applicants for FIFO/DIDO or a local from anywhere in Australia as this will be on a 3:1 roster, Monday to Saturday, 10 hour shifts/ 60hours per week.

Flights & local housing accommodation covered, site vehicle provided and $65 daily per diem.

Contract length is 12 months initially with potential to extend beyond

 Indicative Responsibilities

  • To make a high profile personal commitment to safety for the duration of the site execution
  • Ensure that all personnel are only assigned to work tasks they are trained/competent and physically able to complete safely
  • Ensure all personnel are fit for the duty they are assigned, consider illness and medical conditions
  • Organise site access and workplaces so that work is carried out to the required standards with minimum risk to employees, equipment and the environment
  • Know and implement the requirements of all-relevant GE safe work procedures and report to the SEHSM any difficulties faced in applying such
  • Ensure any HRO is performed under a suitable and sufficient risk assessment, described in a method statement when required and authorized through a PTW as applicable
  • Give all trades precise instructions and information on risks they are exposed to and their associated control measures, including safe work methods, using suitable communication means such as pre-task briefings, tool-box talks or dedicated meetings.
  • Ensure that all personnel under their control know what to do in the event of an emergency
  • Take any necessary immediate containment actions following an EHS event and report it
  • Act upon any deviation observed and stop concerned activity in case of a HRD for further consideration by the relevant parties. 

Certification

  • Certificate VI - WHS essential
  • White Card
  • GWO BST training
  • Must possess a driver's license
