A merit pool will be created to fill future positions.EL1 Assistant DirectorAssistant Directors will:
- Contribute to strategic policy advice on Australia's housing system, ranging from social and affordable housing solutions to housing market policy.
- Assist with the design and implementation of new and expanded housing programs, including legislative development.
- Work across the Commonwealth, state and territory governments to deliver the Government's housing agenda.
- Conduct research and prepare reports on housing supply and affordability issues to improve the evidence base for housing-related policy.
- Skills in policy development and implementation and/or program management and governance.
- Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders from across government and the private sector.
- Strong analytical skills to understand complex issues, identify opportunities and implement effective solutions.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to deliver high quality work within a high-pressure environment.
- Experience in supervising junior staff members in a flexible work environment and adapt to changing priorities.
