Form of workLister House Medical Clinic is a privately owned Medical Practice that has been operating since 1936 and has experienced exponential growth.
We require an additional practice nurse to join our friendly team part time – the number of days and hours may be tailored to suit the clinic and the candidate’s needs.
Lister House Medical Clinic has 14 full-time Doctors, two GP Registrars, three medical students, as well as visiting specialists. The Clinic currently has 10 Nurses specialising in diabetes education, midwifery, pap smears, theatre, Sleepwise, care plans and health assessments, as well as 15 + support staff.
Some of the Duties performed in the role include but are not limited to:
- Assisting GP’s with Minor Procedures
- Wound Care and Dressings
- Immunisations (scheduled and travel)
- ECG, Audiometry and Spirometry
- Maintaining Treatment Rooms to accreditation standards
- Triaging patients and prioritising of emergency situations
- Cold chain management
Qualifications, Skills and experience
- Registered Nurse - Division 1
- Current AHPRA registration
- Ability to work autonomously and as a strong team player
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Competency with technology and ability to learn the required software
