The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. We have an exciting opportunity to join the NDIA’s Service Design Delivery Branch.
The Service Design Delivery Branch is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve the participant and provider experience, and our internal service delivery processes and systems to provide better experiences for all stakeholders interacting with the NDIS.
The squads lead design of improvements to the processes, systems, digital products within the participant journey, which support participants work towards their goals and improves the participant experience with all elements of the NDIS.Where you can add value
  • Working within an agile design squad, utilising the varied skills within the cross-functional team to achieve the team's objectives and goals.
  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of projects through the design and build phases.
  • Supporting Domain Owners in presenting outputs and documentation for approval.
  • Ensuring design & build priorities are clear, delivered and Domain Owners are aware of risks.
  • Providing context of key design & build considerations while supporting enabling teams to deploy the changes.

This role will draw on candidates’ excellent verbal and written communication skills, sound judgement skills, and demonstrated ability to lead a high performing team.
You will be responsible for undertaking detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving may different unrelated processes or methods that impact strategic or operational outcomes that support the NDIA’s objectives.Your NDIA ExperienceWe work as one team. While this role is ideally performed from VIC – Geelong, VIC – Richmond, NSW – Surry Hills, NSW – Newcastle, SA – Adelaide, QLD – Brisbane or QLD – Robina, remote working arrangements may be considered.
